COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ten Hills traces its story to Elk Mountain Farms in Idaho, famous for growing hops of exceptional quality and character. With hops from the "first ten hills" grown for Goose Island at Elk Mountain, we crafted a pale ale that delivers both a herbal and citrus hop character. We hope you’ll find the intriguing balance of flavors in this beer to be truly unparalleled. Cheers!

Draft at Jets Pats 2014 at Metlife Stadium. Pours lighter orange with a small off white head. Aroma is citrus with some herbal and earthy undertones. Taste is mild bitters with a sweet finish. Medium bodied, slick texture and drying finish.

Bottle. Seeing Elk Mountain in the description solidifies Goose Island as a Busch product. It underwhelms unfortunately. Amber and quite still, and drinks cleanly. But there’s nothing to distinguish it and there’s just the barest of hop prescence IMHO. (#5889, 12/16/2014)

Draft at Moriartys. Clear medium amber pour with a frothy off-white head. Tons of lace. Crisp but mild herbal flavors. Medium-blonde caramel toffee malts. Floral resins. Feels a bit boozy for a beer listed at 6.2%. Ok, but not particularly noteworthy.

Bought a twelver at jewel for $12.99, poured around 9 into my pint glass. Tastes bitter and some sweet, then hops. It’s not quite rambler but better than 312.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle a medium amber hue, aroma moderate, light citrus hops, some pale and caramel malt, and with a touch of light dough. Flavour of fresh herbal and floral hops, crackery malt, citrus zest, slight grapefruit juice. Yes quaffable, however decent, yet unremarkable.

On tap at East Ave. MacGregor’s with Dan. Pours a dark bronze color with thick head that fades to some lacing. Aroma fairly mild blend of citrus and malt sweetness, floral with a hint of grain. Taste of citrus, malt and caramel sweetness and a bit herbal. Some bitterness and a clean fi nish. Moderate body, crisp, clean and refreshing.

Bottle: Pour is golden amber with a modest, fine bubbled white head into this glass - it retains on the average side, with light spotting presence here. The nose has an earthen note, with caramel malt moving to citrus zest and florals by my estimation. The flavor profile is lacking however - I mean , i picked this up at the grocery store in a pinch and expected a middling experience - and this is it. Initial is hopper bitter, feint pine, caramel malts, and it moves to a mineral note and fades into oblivion for me - Move along, nothing to see here.

12 oz bottle shared by huhzubendah, thanks Matt! Pours a clear burnished amber with a tan head that fades to a wisp. Aroma is sweet malty and mild floral hop character. Flavor is a mild balanced pale with bright carbonation. Mild caramel sweetness in the finish.

The aroma is caramel, light butter. The appearance is deep amber, white head. The flavor is caramel, citrus, light butter, almost none. The finish is citrus, pine. Medium in body. Pretty solid.
