Ten Hills traces its story to Elk Mountain Farms in Idaho, famous for growing hops of exceptional quality and character. With hops from the "first ten hills" grown for Goose Island at Elk Mountain, we crafted a pale ale that delivers both a herbal and citrus hop character. We hope you’ll find the intriguing balance of flavors in this beer to be truly unparalleled. Cheers!

This say "limited release" on the carton. This beer has a lot of characteristics of a Goose Island, more so with the Honkers ale that I drink often. Some light fruity characteristics on the nose. The flavors present a bit of spiciness with a bit of honey and citrus. Slightly dry and salty on the palate with a buttery finish. Not bad at all but not something I would consider top shelf.

Light bronze pour, finger of off white head..Nose is gentle floral hops. Bitter. Middle is medium bodied biscuit malt, touch of wheat and caramel. Finish is ready with short splash of bitterness.

It's a good beer, but the bitterness is a little too much front and center and also hangs on the palate too long. I do like the warm feeling from the alcohol. The bitterness is just to dominant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber color with a fairly thick off-white head. Aroma is very slight grassy hops with a little bit of nuttiness. Flavor is light pine hops with a fairly sweet malt finish. Body is a bit on the thin side. Not bad, nice sandwich beer. Wife: 3.25

Bottle from Autumn variety pack: Created an average sizing of foam cap head while a orangish mahogany liquid rested below. Aroma smells bitter with minimal presence of hops and also has a whiff of butterscotch caramelized malts that reminds me of how a red amber ale would. The drink is bland and doesn’t have any real profile of flavor other than a minor notice of sweetness. Glad I wasn’t stuck with more than 3 bottles of this beer because it is surely forgettable.

From a mixed 12 pack ... 12oz bottle into a Mad Elf tulip glass. Pours amber with head and lace. Aroma of grains, field herbs, sweet malts. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of sweet malts, straw hops, honey, slight bitter herbs. Oveall a tad sweet for the style, but easily drinkable.

12 oz. bottle pours a deep orange/amber color with moderate wihite frothy head. Aroma is full of tropical fruits and citrus, with plenty of caramel and toasted malts. Flavor starts sweet and malty, but ends with a satisfying hoppy finish. Body is medium with average carbonation and a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Very satisfying. If this beer had no label, instead of coming from a Goose Island variety pack, it would probably get higher ratings. This is one pale ale I’ll gladly try again.

Pours a dark amber with a thin foamy whitish head. Nose is quite sweet adn malty. A bit cloying. A hint of fruitiness and grass. Taste is also fairly sweet. Light hop bite. Not a huge fan, but I would turn one down.

Mild pale ale. Bitterness there, a subtle drinking, with wheat. Something summery, 16 weeks from bottling. Decent drinkability. Lacy.

Great amber color, clear, nice bubbles, thin lacy head. Weak hop smell. Even smooth taste, mid level lasting flavor.

Bottle from one of those variety packs. This one poured a light amber color with a foamy, medium sized white head. Aroma was notes of light pine, lots of hops. Flavor is more subdued, balanced. Refreshing.
