Dark gold/orange with a thick white head. Huge pine aroma and resiny flavor. Remarkable, primarily for its balance and finesse.

Sampled while Iím pouring GI at Blarney Stoneís Brew Fest. This assaults my nose right away with the big piney catbox smell of big American hops. Then a big malty smack in the face that stands up to the extreme bitter these hops put down. Thick malty mouthfeel, and you can sense the alcohol doing its dirty work. Alternating between sipping this and BCS. Life is good.

A medium-strong hop aroma. Very clear, un-bubbly. This is fairly sweet and sugary with a hop alcohol note thatís more noticeable near the end. Decent but not what Iím feeling at the moment.

Poured from draft at sheffields. Darker orange. Tons of foamy white head. Sweet and hoppy fruit aroma. The citra hops give an amazing smell and taste. Smooth. Delicious IPA. Great beer

Growler from Keyport. Clear orange with a filmy head, mild carbonation and decent lacing. Nose and flavor consist of citrus hops, apricots, caramel malts and a bitter piney resin aftertaste. Body is heavy and moderately carbonated. Pretty good!

Surprised Iím number ten on this one. Draft at Mekong. Medium amber, clear, great head. I was looking for something to destroy my palate after doing the tasting part of BJCP, and this did the trick fairly well. Aroma was pure hops, loads of grapefruit, pine, tropical fruit. Flavor was a match, with a good malt backbone to keep things together. Not as scrubbing with the hops as expected, the bitterness was in check. Well balanced. Very nice IIPA.

I personally would not call it a DIPA but this really tastes good. The mixture of Citra and Meridian work well together. Definitely citrus forward and a strong with bitterness but it does not ruin the palate at all. Good carbonation too.

Draft. Clear gold with a thin white head. Nose is piney and resinous hops. Taste follows suit with solid malt backup. Finishes very clean. This is one of the better Goose Island offerings I've had.

Draft. Loads of pine and citrus with a huge caramel malt backbone. Very good, although a bit boozy.

On tap at FT. Clear amber pour with lacy white head. Good hoppy aroma, citrusy, lemony. Taste is hoppy, very citrusy, light caramel malt, not too bitter, quite quaffable. Very easy drinking, med-full body and good carbonation.
