Very pale golden beer. Aroma of spiced sweets. I can taste almost as caramel banana with cinnamon. My pretty good.

10/1/2014. From bottle. Golden yellow with a white head. Sweet aromas of light fruit and honey. Light citrus, nice hop balance. A bit acidic, but overall very nice and enjoyable.

A heady Belgian tripel betrays its Midwestern influences and ties to Goose Island almost immediately. A reasonably priced single should find its way into the basket of anyone who likes competently made Belgians from a known brand.

Aroma / Appearance - The sticky golden base crawls down the sides with long sheer legs adding depth. Honey, lemons, hops, and a thick boozy feel permeate the air with a dash of Ricolla lozenges for extra effect. Put together it forms a sweet memorable presence.

Flavor / Palate - Lemons, honey, and oranges dazzle the palate. Coating it like a layer of paint, the mouthfeel teeters on cloying from time to time. Similar to other Goose Island releases like Matilda and Sofie it stays mostly true to the style while offering its own unique Chicago take. I’m not sure I would ever grab a six pack but the occasional draft or bottle would be easy to finish with people just getting into craft beer.

This is a great beer. Tasty and well balanced. This beer is a good pour with nice lacing. Not too much of anything an again a great balance.

Poured a light hazy Yellow Orange colour with 1/2 inch white head. Rich Belgian yeast and malty aroma with fruity notes of citrus hops and clove. Flavor is much of the same with the hops coming through in the aftertaste. Good blend of the Belgian and IPA world.

This beer smells like Belgian yeast, sour fruits, and a hint of white pepper and pours a hazy golden color with a medium white head that fades quickly. The taste is mildly sweet, a touch sour, and a touch better, but the predominate flavor is quite fruity. The aftertaste is very reminiscent of a low Belgian yeast flavor, and the rest of the palate fuses a medium body, average carbonation, and a slick texture.

Bottle: Hazy, bright yellow body with a foamy white head that plumes up nicely on the pour. Aroma has notes of Belgian yeast, apple, clove, toothpaste (mint?), light citric hoppage, peppery herbals, & some more vague fruity sweetness. Estery, yeasty, & obviously more hop forward than most tripels, though I would not guess Citra was the dry hop. Taste is less hoppy, more tripel-y. Lots of spicy Belgian yeast, clove, phenolic esters, mild banana & apple, faint earth, a touch of white pepper. Hops come through a little towards the mid-palate, with a mild leafy herbalness & a touch of vague citrusy fruit. Aftertaste veers back towards the yeast, though, leaving a mild spiciness in the back of the throat. Bready with a yeast heavy mouth coating.

355 ml bottle. Pours a bright hazy gold with light head. Aromas of peaches Belgian yeast and lemon wax. Muted similar flavors with additional banana and resin notes. Light for the style but smooth and easy to drink.

Full, yeasty, a bit of malt, and a good bit of spice. Smooth with a fairly long finish.

Slightly hazy light golden under a persistent white foamy cap.. Gorgeous aroma of full toasty dough with a blonde malt sweetness and robust grassy pepperiness with some well rounded soft fruity tones. Lovely full flavor with mellow tones of blonde grainy toast, earthy pepper, a delightful semibitter grassy tone and a well rounded back side. MMM. This is what Tripels ought to be. Estery yet doughy and balanced.

Pour is yellow with a small white head. A hazy beer with aromas of hops, yeast and tropical fruit. A unique take on the tripel that the hop lovers will find tasty.
