3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft on tap at the Clybourn Brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a richer deep amber pour, some orange glow, a darker mild with mild haze. Loose offwhite near beige head sits atop, a good layer that laces ok. Aromas are citrusy, earthy, white grape, grass and florals. Some bready and pale malts, grain, some sweeter fruit. Nice hop presence offers firm florals, citrus, and tropical fruit, some white grape, earth. A touch sweet. Initial is medium bodied, a bit lighter with firm bitterness, florals and some juicy fruit. Grapefruit, lemons, and grass. Firm florals, bready and grainy malts, some dough, biscuits, kiss of toast. Middle shows some sweet fruit, florals and grapefruit bitterness catch on firmly. Bitter, a bit fuzzy, really like the middle as it trails into the backend, Galaxy and Simcoe meld well. Good flavors, a touch sweet at times. Well constructed, firm flavorful hop presence and flavors. Nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at GI Clybourn. Pours a well-hazed golden orange with a faint offwhite head. Sticky head. Nose is brightly tropical with an underlying caramel note. Resin and some soap as well. Clean & fruity. On tasting, strong bitterness, light caramalt finish. Citrusy with a resiny quality. Earthy finish. Fairly dry. Okay.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Consumed at the source... Pours similarly as one more with a orangey new copper penny coloration and topped with a thin frothy soapy white head... Galaxy comes through nicely in the nose but seems aged with an almost buttery caramel profile to it. Still fairly juicy with melon accents which is nice. Darker toasty malt are present but do not interfere with the hops but moreso provide a deeper sense if sweetness. Some faint pine on the backend that eventually give way... Flavors have herbal tea a cents with a lighter tropical fruit note. A bit of earth through the middle with smooth carbonation. Just shy of medium bodied with light fluffy carbonation. Not normally a huge can of clybourn hoppy offerings but this and one more were more enjoyable than previous offerings.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a fluffy white head that lasts throughtout the beer. Aroma has a real nice citrus/grapefruit note with a bit of pine and a hint of a sweet grain backbone. Flavor is a bit more reserved with citrus and light grapefruit with a resinous finish.
