Copper in color with a soft white head. Light citrus aroma. Lighter bodied with an orangey-citrus hop note and brittish-ale-like maltiness. Notes: On cask at Goose Island brewpub

Sampled from the tap at the Clyborn location. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a earthy pine note with a hint of light citrus and backing sweet grains. Flavor has a good amount of pine with light fruit and sweet grains.

Nice drinkable IPA here, peachy and citrusy, great body, excellent carbonation, didn’t know about the green tea thing? very approachable and full of flavor.

draft, Pours auburn white head, Nose real fruity, mint, white grape. Flavors is toasted malts, bubblegum, juicy fruit, tea, and mint. Didn’t do well on cask however, seemed in a younger awkward stage bit phenolic, just seem less pronounce notes, refreshing longer minty finish while the draft had more hop flavor and bitterness, good stuff really

On cask at GI Wrigley pub. Aroma: Wonderful fruity hop profile (pineaples and mango) with caramel malts and maple. Appearance: Dark copper, completely clear, lasting white head for a cask. Taste: Citrus hops and caramel malts, a nice balance between bitter, sweet and tart. Palate: I usually dont like palate for cask but this is very good, not entirely flat, full without being heavy. Overall: Very good.

aroma is earthy, buried grapefruit. substantial balance at work. appearance is limited legs, darkened gold pour. flavor is savory hops, earthy pine, low citrus. late bitterness tempered by returning big balance. mouthfeel is briefly sticky, rounder then the standard GI IPA.

Draft at GI Clybourn. Pours a deep copper with a sticky white head. Nose is telling. Lends some piney hosp with some spicy and citrus notes, but then caramel really begins to dominate. The malty components really distract and leave the hops to drown. On taste, the caramel is just too much and the bitterness really is a bit astringent. This should have been a better beer. Too much of a sweetness and it almost seems old, which doesn’t make sense. A damn shame and a miss.

On tap at Clybourn... Super dark gold, a bit of copper, nice color, a light tope head, good retention... The nose is light and supper buttery, not much pine at all... The taste is light and smooth butter vanilla hops, light but decent... One of their best ipas to date

Buttery, grass hop nose. Thick and still in the glass. Like a concentrated golden.elixir. Earthy and citrus hop flavors. Medium malt and then a little booze at the end. Smooth like satin sheets in your mouth.

Tap at the brewpub. Copper pour with a foamy white.head. very grassy, Earthy hop nose. The taste is surprisingly different. Its sweet and malty followed.by floral and citrus.hop flavors. Best beer of the night so far. I was expecting a big, bitter hop monster as soon as I smelled this one. I must still have my California palate! If this was Lagunitas or Port Brewing, it would have been a hop landslide. Instead Goose Island packed a ton of.flavor into this.beer and did it with balance. An IPA? That’s debatable but it’s a great pale/ IPA nonetheless.
