On tap at the CBS annual picnic, and self served to clear plastic with a hazed, light orangy gold color, a decent head of cream colored foam, and wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was some light, dank grain scent, just hints of orange zest and coriander, and mild malt. Ditto on the flavor, plus some low hop bitterness, good effervescence and light body. Crisp, sessionable, and well suited for the picnic faire.

On draft at brewpub, poured a light cloudy golden yellow color, aromas of coriander, light orange, and wheat. Flavors are the same, blended together, with some banana thrown in. Nice and refreshing beer overall.

At the Clybourn location. I’ve been trying to start not ordering wits as I’ve decided it’s not a style I’m really fond of over all. (There are exceptions) The missus ordered this so I thought I’d give it a try. What you’d expect from a wit but on the better than average side. Not watery and not soapy. A little tart. Serving: Tap

On tap at Clybourn brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow straw color with white head. Aromas of citrus, wheat, yeast, coriander, and banana. Flavors of wheat, coriander, yeast, and fair amount of citrus. Mouthfeel is on point. Pretty solid wit.

Draft in a sampler at the Clybourn brewpub. Pours a hazed yellow-gold with a small white head. The aroma has tons and tons of orange, with some wheat, coriander, and banana well in the background. The flavor is basically the same. Lots of orange on top of traditional witbier notes. Light bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a crisp, citrusy mouthfeel. Good wit if you like oranges.

Draft at Clyburn. Mcloudy golden. A nice fruity banana aroma. The feel is creamy. This is very nice. Orange flavors are genuine. Wheat here is just right. Banana is more subtle than the nose. Delightfully refreshing.

Draft at Goose Island Clybourn (8/4/11) . Pours a straw color. Small white head. Citrus aroma that turned to banana and spice as it warmed. Light palate. Very easy drinking. A good wheat beer.

Hazy straw color. Thin white head. Smells and tastes lime Trix cereal. Lemon and tangerine flavors up front and cereal malt close behind. Very tasty. An excellent American wit.

On tap at Goose – Clybourn. Poured cloudy, milky golden with a creamy white head. The aroma picked up bananas and vanilla first and foremost, with deeper lemony notes behind.. smelled like it was going to be refreshing. The flavor found deeper red wheat at the core, with lemon zest and ripe bananas around.. more orangey on the back.. this exited with a solid dose of grainy residual sugars. Light-bodied and mildly tangy on the palate.. OK feel and flow.. a little too sweet to really be refreshing.
