Approx 16 oz Willebecher pour at Goose Island Clybourn in Chicago, Illinois. Pour is hazed yellow with a nice one inch white head. Aroma is perfume lavendar and lemon citrus, soft and fragrant. Taste is bright lemon and lime citrus, spices, floral and in the back then returning to the wheat grain. The finish is flowery and a little sweet. Palate is medium bodied, unfiltered, with a lingering spice finish. A touch watery.

At the Clybourn location. I’ve been trying to start not ordering wits as I’ve decided it’s not a style I’m really fond of over all. (There are exceptions) The missus ordered this so I thought I’d give it a try. What you’d expect from a wit but on the better than average side. Not watery and not soapy. A little tart. Serving: Tap

Draft in a sampler at the Clybourn brewpub. Pours a hazed yellow-gold with a small white head. The aroma has tons and tons of orange, with some wheat, coriander, and banana well in the background. The flavor is basically the same. Lots of orange on top of traditional witbier notes. Light bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a crisp, citrusy mouthfeel. Good wit if you like oranges.

Draft at Clyburn. Mcloudy golden. A nice fruity banana aroma. The feel is creamy. This is very nice. Orange flavors are genuine. Wheat here is just right. Banana is more subtle than the nose. Delightfully refreshing.

On tap at Goose – Clybourn. Poured cloudy, milky golden with a creamy white head. The aroma picked up bananas and vanilla first and foremost, with deeper lemony notes behind.. smelled like it was going to be refreshing. The flavor found deeper red wheat at the core, with lemon zest and ripe bananas around.. more orangey on the back.. this exited with a solid dose of grainy residual sugars. Light-bodied and mildly tangy on the palate.. OK feel and flow.. a little too sweet to really be refreshing.

Reviewed from notes. On tap at the Clybourn location.
Pours a moderate golden yellow with a bit of haze. White head with a bit of lacing. The nose brings some light spicing as well as a good dose of citrus, mostly oranges. The taste is light wheat with a bit of sweetness as well as a tiny bit of citrus. A bit too sweet. Good body and carbonation and a nice wheat profile. Drinks well and is a solid brew for the style.
