3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap during Ohio Brew Week 2013, taster from Red Brick. Clear golden color. Thin white head. Couple splotches of lace. Lighter body. Good, smooth more soft carbonation. Lighter, more dry finish. Nice bready, lightly creamy flavor. Some hay, light grassy, peppery hop. Nice light to moderate bitter taste. Great czech pils. Awesome example of the style.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap at GB near DC Metro Centre. Not much to say here. Pours golden with some head and lacing. Light grassy, very limited pilsner bite in the finish. Meh.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Draught. This is a pretty boring pils. It does not have the spicyness I expect from a CP.

Just an average pilsner. Little hoppy with a slight malt flavo. Would not get again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A very respectable pilsner. Not as good as their Blonde Bock or Maibock, but most sampler packs have at least one dog, but the GB sampler does not. So if this and the Marzen are the weakest in their sampler, then their sampler is one of the great bargains around.

On tap at Gordon Biersch Dulles. Gold body with medium head. Nose is yeasty. Taste is pilseneresque, crisp texture. Corny and watery.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
At the restaurant in Miami. Smell is much sweeter than I expected, with cloying funky sweetness on top of light malts. Flavor follows the aroma, with overly sweet flavor, almost like artificial sweetener in it. Drinkable and light, but the sweetness makes it difficult to get it all down. Would not order again, but not a terrible beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Washington - Dulles International Airport. Golden body with an average white foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with bready and herbal hints. Taste carries grainy and herbal notes. Ends with a decent bitter/herbal finish. Not bad.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at the Washington, DC brewpub This was a fun stop on the way to the Ford theater. The waiter was a beer lover and understood I was looking for hoppy beers. This was his recommendation. The pilsner poured a deep gold color with a 1 inch head and lacing on a 21 oz glass. They make their beers based on the German Purity laws of 1518. This pils had litte aroma but had some bitterness in the upper mouth (IBU36). This beer had medium bitterness. The carbonation was average The finish had some spicy characteristics. Not a bd drink!
