Bottle. Enjoyable and easy to drink, almost too easy. A bit malty after taste with a slightly clovey aroma.

[on tap at Gordon Biersch, DTW airport] Fairly weak aroma of sweet pilsner malt and low zesty, Czech, noble hops. Less cracker and fermentation character compared to the Golden Export. Bight gold under lacy, white wisps. Flavour begins with balanced crackery malt and hops bitterness and then becomes pungent noble hops, and then the bitterness really holds on into the crisp finish. The bitterness together with the carbonic bite, are a little unpleasant. Light body, medium carbonation.

gyllenbock (6480) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 29, 2015
On tap at Gordon Biersch, Taipei. Golden with a white head. Aroma and taste of light metal, grain and some hints of citrus. Not a typical Czech Pilsner.

12oz at DTW after NCSS- really golden color with nice thick head. Too bad there’s no nose to the beer. So mediocre...

Draft at SJC. Clear gold with white head. Aroma brings biscuit, citrus, grass. Some sweetness, a little toasted bread; short crisp bitter finish. Light body, lively carbonation. Overall: pretty decent airport beer.

I think 1.9 is a fair rating for this skunky beer. Flavor is ok but metallic and the aftertaste is slightly sour. Pour is weak with no head but the aroma is the worst....very skunky.

PorterPounder (6711) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 2, 2015
Atlanta International Airport - Concourse A restaurant - on tap. Medium golden pour, light snow white head with a generous coat of lacing. Aroma is pretty much neutral with a slight grainy hint to it. Crisp pilsner flavor with a hint of honey sweetness, a touch of grain, hints of biscuit - like malty sweetness. Crisp, clean mouthfeel.

Draught at San Jose airport. Lemon gold with a thin head. Hops and malt in the aroma and flavour. Grainy finish.

This a really solid pilsner w/ big floral hop flavor and fat maltiness w/o being too sweet or heavy. It is a clear golden color w/ a thin head of fine bubbles and lots of lace. It’s full bodied but crisp w/ vigorous carbonation. It might be a hair overboard in terms of body to be perfect for the style but given how far off some breweries get from this style it’s really hard to complain.

[2/20/15] Draught at Gordon Biersch Mission Valley in San Diego. Clear golden. Decent grassy hops aroma with a bit of malt. Flavor has some sweetish bready malt and nice crisp grassy hops bitterness. Rather light-bodied. A decent, clean, Bohemian Pilsener.

I would drink this again.....if I was out of Blatz, Hamm’s grain belt, Crazy Shirley’s, Point Pale ale, Earthquake OR I was in the Detroit airport & this was the only thing available. Or not. You could do worse.......you know you could drink a bottle of donkey piss.....BUT your oh-so sophisticated palate could also do GREAT: you know.....drinking Blatz. That’s how I roll in these troubled times.
