Nov 28, 2007 ON tap at brewery. Dark brown with a fizzy white head. Sweet bread aroma and taste with some almost cinnamon like notes. Decent, but not great in the spectrum of dopplebocks.

Jan 7, 2007 Dark brown color. White foamy head. Aroma of roasted malt. Not coffee just the smell of grains. (Kinda making me hungry.) Flavor of malt. Finishes with a little coffee and distant bitterness. Not a bad beer, just not an impressive Doppelbock style.

Dec 13, 2006 Clear mahogany body with creamy beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, cherry, caramel, some bubblegum. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, cherry, some raisin, light chocolate. Medium body, light stickiness.

Dec 15, 2005 RFD Holidaz, Washington DC. A pretty good bock. A solid brown beer that fits right in with Bierschs german beers. Drinkable, and stood up well against most other brewpubs.
