COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
is a full-bodied, malty beer. It is our only lager beer served unfiltered, the way all beer was traditionally made years ago. Despite its dark color and rich caramel aroma, Dunkles is light in texture and smooth to drink.

Nive copper brown color draft, there is a touch of caramel in the arma. The flavor is pretty mellow and malty. Bland mild finish. meh.

Decent enough Dunkel. Brownish/Amber in color. Small Beige head. Sweet caramel aroma with hints of spices. Sweet start. Top was thin. Finish was smooth with little bitterness.

Sampler at Honolulu restaurant. Aroma has a chocolate sweetness. Pour dark with an amber hue. The head is creamy offwhite with the flavor a caramel chocolate with maybe a roasted nut.

Still my favorite in the lineup. Love the deep brown color. Wish the nose was bigger. Great German malt flavor that goes into the finish. The hops don't get in the way but there's plenty of bitter.

Sweet with malt and caramel flavors emphasized. Great mouthfeel.

This is an evenly balanced beer with a dark malty start and a mild hop finish. No real complexity here and perhaps a little watery, but this dunkles will do the deal if you just want a dark beer for a relaxing moment.

Quality dark beer. A little too much hops bitterness is my one knock (I'm a confessed Hops-Sally, however). Though when Gordon's blonde bock is unavailable in the restaurant, I'm a sure thing for a nice frothy pint o' the Dunkles.

I had a couple of these off the tap two weeks ago in DC. Surprised me greatly, with a good body and nice aftertaste.
