3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 HighGravity (926) - Baltimore, USA - SEP 27, 2009
(Bottled om 08/31/2009) A mostly balanced lager that leans slight toward sweet and spicy. Clean and well made without being very distinct, which I don’t think is an issue for this style.

I’m not a huge Gordon Biersch fan but this is a pretty good beer. It has a lot of flavor and is smooth for a Oktoberfest style beer.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 RobertDale (972) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - DEC 15, 2011
On tap at brewpub. Comes clear amber with decent white head. Aroma of malt and yeast. Taste is sweet malt, caramel and bread. Decent but unremarkable.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Elwood (1973) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - NOV 9, 2011
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a deep copper color with a small, off-white crop of foam. The nose is a little musty and stale. There is some honey in there. The flavor has light malt, honey, and cracker notes. Thin on the palate and rather drab. This one seems a little watery and dull. Light in body with carbonation that seems to hurt rather than help. It thins out a beer that’s already thin. Drinkable, but certainly not their best offering.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy golden colour. Small creamy white head. The flavour has a hint of rough bitterness, a good mouthfeel. Creamy or papery finish.

On draft at New Orleans location. Copper in colour wtih medium carbonation. Simplistic bready and caramelized malt aroma. Similar bready-caramel caombo in the mouth, with a faint herbal hop and mineral kick on the back end. Surprisingly light bodied. Drinkable stuff, but very muted overall. Average at best.
