Not full bodied, an antonym of rich. This seemed to have that american macro brew skunkiness all throughout, with a clean crisp finish that was forgettable but lucky because the it cuts off the flavors. Not a good beer in my opinion, the only thing I liked was that there were mild apples moving around somewhere.

Dec 25, 2009 copper pour. small white head. Light caramel and spent hops aroma. Flavor is bitter with some caramel malt. Meh.

Dec 24, 2009 12oz bottle-pours a tight foamy light tan head with amber color. Aroma is bready-light/medium malt, herbal/spice hops. Taste is bready-light/medium malt, herbal/spice/slight metallic hops.

Appearance: Pours a translucent, light-hued amber body with a small-sized, white head.
Smell: Floral, spicy hop aroma mingled with grainy pilsner malt and some further toasted bread notes.
Taste: Starts with lightly sweet, grainy pils malts, then in come some toasty tones, though the husky pilsner malt certainly dominates. Spicy, modestly floral Noble hops with a mild, cleansing bitterness. Drying, fairly clean finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Just a hair above medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Acceptable but ultimately forgettable. With it’s blend of pilsner and Munich maltiness, I wonder if this beer could be replicated by blending their Märzen and Czech-Style Pilsner together...

Nov 5, 2009 Bottle. Aroma strongly of yeast, bread, malts, and a metallic twinge. Flavor (and mouthfeel) is fairly thin--roasted malts, yeast, slight hop bitterness on end, finish is overall pretty clean. Easy to drink, but fairly forgettable.

Nov 2, 2009 On tap at some Gordon Biersch restaurant at the San Jose airport. Pours golden orange with a big lacy white head. Aroma is bready malts with a citrusy twang. Flavor is similar, mostly bready with a bright orangey note. Sweet and thin but drinkable enough.

Oct 27, 2009 Updated: Dec 13, 2009Pours from the tap to a light copper color with thin white head that lingers to mid-glass and leaves okay lacing. Nose is faint, but trends toward malted nuts and caramel. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and somewhat sweet, and the taste picks up the malty flavors of the nose. A fairly short, but pleasant finish.
Not a bad fall beer.

Oct 25, 2009 clear orange under a large frothy white head. bright aroma with some fresh hops and citrus. tart and cery carbonated. bitter. some bready malts in the finish but quite hoppy for an oktoberfest style beer. seems to sweeten up with some caramel showing up after it warms. more hoppier than the "marzen", but less toasty malts.
