golden pour with a small white head. grainy aroma and taste, not a bad example of the helles

Golden yellow with clear white foam head. Bought in Antwerp so thought this to be a Belgian beer, surprised. NIce bitter flavor with some nuts. (Velp 201202)

Pours light golden color with medium white head. Light bodied, thin with slightly above average carbonation. Very drinkable. Light grassy aroma, flavor of grain comes through. Nice flavor but not much hops here.

Draft, light golden, light floral aroma, cereal notes. Fruity floral cereal flavor. Clean and ok

Draft at Gordon Biersch-Columbus. Pours a clear gold with a big white head. Faint aroma of pale malts, grassy hops, and crackers. Flavor was the same. Like a couple others there, this seemed over-carbonated. Light-bodied and crisp. Okay, but not much to it.

Pretty bland with not much flavor. Easy to drink but not much else appeal.

On draught at Taipei location (listed as 5%). Pours a clear gold color with no head. Light body with a mellow malty flavor and late hops bitterness.

Tap @ Gordon Biersch Broomfield. Clear, golden appearance with a white head. Very light pale malty, grassy hoppy aroma. Very light bodied, light pale malty lager flavor with hints of straw and grass. Easy to drink but theres hardly any flavor.

Sample at Atlanta brewpub. Comes clear light gold with an average white head. Aroma of corn and hops. Taste is grain, citrus, malt and hops. Crisp. Decent.

Draught, 5.0% at the brewpub. Not much aroma. Clear shiny pale yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is light and slightly grainy. Fine sweet aroma hop note. More like a ’lite’ beer than an export.

For the price I thought this beer was a rip off Id rather buy something cheaper with the same flavor.
