COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Once reserved for Bavarian royalty for its light sparkling quality, Hefeweizen is considerably more democratic today. In fact, at Gordon Biersch we've brewed a special batch of our Hefeweizen to serve our guests throughout July and August! Hundreds of years ago in Germany, wheat beers were considered "breakfast" or "after church" beers, a testament to their light refreshing flavor and a tradition of drinking them on weekend afternoon. We invite you to enjoy our Hefeweizen any day of the week this summer along with our special summer menu.

Draft. Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of clove, citrus, banana, and some wheat. Light body with a slight tartness upfront with some citrus and wheat notes. A nice example of a Hefe.

Pour on tap at the brewpub at LAX, hazy orange pour with thin white head, lacing. Aroma brought some lemon, orange, hints of banana and clove but restrained, hints of slight grain as well. Taste is a mix of grain, husk, bready notes into some lemon, finishing fairly sweet. Not bad, but nothing amazing for sure.

Man do I love this hef! In my humble opinion, one of the best American Hefeweizens. Love the aroma, the wheat and malted barley are fantastic! Taste could be more pronounced but overall great American hef.

Sharp, green off- the tree banana and sugary bubblegum. Hazy yellow with a frothy head. Strong sweet , spicy banana and clove taste, maybe a touch too sweet if I have to name a drawback. Crisp and refreshing mid weight body.

Sampler at Seattle location. Thin yellow beer with thin head. Thin, sweet and watery but with some of the usual clove, banana, bubblegum, wheat you’d expect from a Hefe.

On Tap Dec. 12 Pours a deep cloudy orange, maybe the darkest Hefe I’ve had. Good on the nose, and flavorful with both fruit and spices throughout. A good hefe, especially at LAX. PROST!
