3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Let’s hear it for airport beers. There are certainly many worse out there. This hefe was a bit on the darker golden side for the style, and a bit maltier than many. Felt heavy instead of refreshing. Some banana and clove, but a bit of a sharp wheat and slight pepper vibe. Not bad, but I liked the pilsner much better.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On Tap Dec. 12
Pours a deep cloudy orange, maybe the darkest Hefe I’ve had. Good on the nose, and flavorful with both fruit and spices throughout. A good hefe, especially at LAX. PROST!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2013 Sampled on draft at the Virginia Beach brewpub this beer poured a yellow-golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that left decent lacing - pretty clear for being unfiltered. The flavor was phenol, clove and a hint of banana. The flavor was phenol, clove, a hint of banana and a touch medicinal. Medium length clove and banana finish. Light body. Disappointing.

Tap at GB in Broomfield, hazy gold, hints of banana and melon on the nose, turning to spice and bread on the palate. A little fruit returning in the finish. A bit thin maybe for a Hefe.
