The tradition of the Maibock beer began in the 14th century in Einbeck, Germany. This bock beer style was so popular the brewmaster was lured away by the Bavarians to replicate the style. Gordon Biersch Maibock is rich and full-bodied, emphasizing dark roasted, caramelized Munich malt and brewed in accordance to the German Purity Law of 1516.

about what i expect from GB. a little better than the average GB brew because it’s a style i like done reasonably well, just nothing to get excited about. for the style, just below average. light earthy hop aroma and good balance."
