Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Sweet, easy malt flavor. Smooth and full-bodied, could drink all night. Mild hops

baked yam orange in color, with perfect clarity. classic marzen dried fruit maltiness; pretzel toasty overtone to --what is it?, apricot? why, there’s a whole dang restaurant in there! sweetish with a lite, very lite bitterness. grand, but i’d ’up’ the ingredients a bit more, everything but the water, that is. finish a little weak-- unless you studiously keep your glass full.

This is one of my favorites. beautiful dark color. somewhat refreshing with its touch sweetness. This is really a very good one.

Well-rounded and smooth Marzen for my money. I haven’t had many Marzens but if this is the standard I am impressed.

Almost a sickly sweet taste... not Gordon Biersch’s best beer, but that is why they give you the sampler before the first round.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2003 A very good and full flavored example of a Vienna or Amber lager. Many of GB's neo-German brews seem a little too mellow but this one rates well. It's always a good cheap 6-pack.

A refreshing, well-balanced Marzen.

I was rather indifferent to this when I had one off of the tap two weeks ago in DC. Simple lager, nothing bad about it, but nothing special

I really liked this one. I am a fan of oktoberfest\marzen beers. This one had an interesting flavor at first, that became very refreshing.
