COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with smoked (rauch) malt and German Weizen yeast, this smooth beer intertwines tastes of banana, clove and dark fruit with a hint of smokiness. Brewed by Kevin Blodger at Rockville, MD location.

Poured from an oak barrel: Pours a nearly-opaque murky dark mahogany with a light airy froth of beige head. Has a sweet dark caramel and toasted wheat malt nose with some banana esters and the slightest hint of smoke. Starts with good fullness and chewy sweetness with light clove spice and a tinge of lemon tartness before a bready finish. A true to style and enjoyable weizenbock, but I was hoping it would have more smoke character.
