12oz. Pours a very clear light golden color, frothy thick white head with good retention, minor lacing. Sweet malty aroma, slight canned corn smell. Sweet creamy flavor, some minor roast flavor, kind of stale bread like. Medium body, medium-low carbonation, very slick texture.

Poured from the bottle, aroma is grainy, bleh I know kolsch beer is light and refreshing in summer, but so plain! Flavor is also grainy. Whatever.

Tasted on tap in sampler glass. Appears a clear golden color with weak white head, no lace. Little aroma, but there are hints of grain, baking bread, refined hops, and some fruity yeast esters. A very crisp, clean and refreshing ale. Easier to drink than macro adjunct lagers.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 PacNWDad (61) - Washington, USA - NOV 2, 2011
Great aroma. Flavor is not as robust as I would expect with a Kolsch. Mostly sweet, malty taste. Well-carbonated.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 CaptainCougar (6835) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - SEP 2, 2011
On tap at the DC location: Pours a clear pale golden with a spotty-lacing froth of white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with a touch of light fruity esters and noble hops. Starts with average fullness and a soft malty sweetness with some clean bitterness and a hint of light fruitiness before a smooth crisp finish. Pretty true to style and drinkable.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Block (864) - West Lafayette, Indiana, USA - SEP 1, 2011
Grassy with a bit of hops. Lots of water makes this beer especially easy to drink. Light on everything from the flavor to the alcohol.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Nickls (1345) - SE DC, Washington DC, USA - SEP 1, 2011
Tap. Clear light lemon-yellow with a minimal white head. Not much going on in the aroma, other than a light grassy hop note and some grain and husk. Taste is pretty clean, but rather bland, with some cereal, minerals, and that’s about it. Light body with fizzy carbonation. Nothing off, just very, very boring.
