COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and can.
Ingredients: Water, Malt, Sugar, Hops.
In 1992, Gordon launches Finest Gold, a strong and refined beer with a typically Scottish character, combining the forces of charm and persuasion. Its origins and its strength (10% degrees of alcohol) give it its smooth taste and explosive nature. The taste of this incomparable beer is nevertheless entirely suited to the new demand of its many enthusiasts. Gordon Finest Gold is today available in 33 cl and 50 cl cans.

Sweet aroma, some banana is noticeable. Golden blond with a big head. Sweet start with well balanced more bitter finish. This beer was brewed in Belgium.

At first this was very bad. But, after giving it a little "special treatment" it really got better.

Very alcoholic taste with notes of malt and brown sugar. Yeasty aroma and a nice dark-brown colour. (Actually Mads poured the rest of his drink in MY bathtub..!)

Surprisingly quite drinkable for a tenner. the metho smell gives it away a bit, but the flavours are quite light and smoothly malty, and quite whiskyish. the connoisseurs choice when it comes to parkbench brews.

Also served in a quaint old Belgian pub in nice Scottish thistle shaped glass. Crystal clear gold with whipped icecream white head. Faint fruity hops and a tinge of wheat beer aroma. Almost no alcohol in the aroma which is impressive considering its a 10% ABV and seeing as there not much aroma in the first place. Light fruity hops start before the alcohol hits. Nevertheless the alcohol is quite well masked by the malty sweet and lighter bitter flavours. Light dry whiskey malt finish. Although not as gutsy, it’s probably overall more delicate and refined that it’s darker brother.

Can. How bizarre is that, a belgian triple in a 440ml can. Straw gold, good rocky head and condition. Aromas of bread, grain esters and alcohol. Cidery sweet body with more fruity esters and a soft spicy finish. Not spectacular.

Black licorice and honey…So very sweet…Somehow I taste cork, but there is no cork on this bottle…

Strange taste. Fruity and sugarry accents. Still sweet. Strong but not too much.
