COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and can.
Ingredients: Water, Malt, Sugar, Hops.
In 1992, Gordon launches Finest Gold, a strong and refined beer with a typically Scottish character, combining the forces of charm and persuasion. Its origins and its strength (10% degrees of alcohol) give it its smooth taste and explosive nature. The taste of this incomparable beer is nevertheless entirely suited to the new demand of its many enthusiasts. Gordon Finest Gold is today available in 33 cl and 50 cl cans.

Light golden color, very clear. Sweet aroma with mild hops and low levels of fuitiness present. Flavor is crisp with sweet flavor and dry finish. A good, cleqan refreshing beer, but nothing special.

Bread & sweetness. Bit of alcohol. Weak overall. Bright amber clear with small off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium-light carb. Fairly sweet. Light yeasty grain. Hint of alcohol. Watery. Very little hops or bitterness. Worsens as it warms.

Bottled. Golden amber colour, very sweet aroma, sticky and sweet palate and flavour respectively. It had a lacy head that failed to persist.

Only slight sugary, hops and cellary aroma. Very sweet, sugary and sticky. Lots of alcohol, unions and pineapple. Too sweet, sticky and alcoholic to be a good beer.

And we have a winner!!! I never thought I would rate another beer 0.5. This one truely deserves the honour! I was really amazed that the only tastes added to this brew are metal and alcohol. Damn I had a hard time drinking a 0.5 ltr can, luckily someone special helped me out! Well I have to admit, in the last sip I also discovered some malts. Overall, yuckie! Go to a scrapheap and lick some metal for exactly the same sensation!

Big blond beer with a thin, head with low resistance. It has belgian undertones and low carbonation rates. Big malty sweet flavour. Too sweet and one dimentional.

Gold colour. Not much of an aroma with only a few malts breaking though. I found this to have a real creamy and smooth flavour, one that was not very complex and really leading to nowhere. Not much of a Belgian strong.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2004 (33cl Bottle) Do not know how the local bar got this and do not really care - important thins was this was a delicious Belgian ale. Very impressed. Couldn't detect the 10% and no burn - Absolutely great. Nice amber body and little head. Vanilla and malt aroma and flavous - carried a slight sweetness. Smooth vanilla finish. Very good.

Golden colour, decent head, not really lasting. Malty aroma. the flavour is malty too, dominated by sweetness (caramel and vanilla). The aftertaste is quite hoppy and bitter and unfortunately very alcoholic. This could have been a great beer with a better balancement...

Decent and fairly crisp, but the alcohol is noticeable and not particularly concealed behind any sort of sweetness. Lacks much belgian yeast flavor.
