In 1992, Gordon launches Finest Gold, a strong and refined beer with a typically Scottish character, combining the forces of charm and persuasion. Its origins and its strength (10% degrees of alcohol) give it its smooth taste and explosive nature. The taste of this incomparable beer is nevertheless entirely suited to the new demand of its many enthusiasts. Gordon Finest Gold is today available in 33 cl and 50 cl cans.

Bottle 33cl. Gllden with a white head. Malty aroma. It is a very smooth beer. Little aroma. I hardly cannot believe that it is 10% alc/vol. potentially a dangerous beer as it drinks so easy. Rather short finish.

Botella de 330ml. Copa Thistle. Color dorado y transparente. 330ml bottle. Thistle glass. Golden color, crystal clear appearance. The white & close crown shows very good retention. Herbal, alcohol, brown sugar aromas as well as phenols –vanilla-, some diacetyl & solvent-like hues. Caramelized & sugary upfront with herbal hints. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Silky, creamy & cloying mouthfeel. Peach & apricot syrups arise in the middle & linger into a long sweet finish. ABV is well perceived but the overall impression results much better than in many others with less alcohol content.

Alengrin (3122) - BELGIUM - AUG 19, 2014
One of Anthony Martin’s bestsellers, aimed at alcoholics. Golden blonde colour, snow white head; sweet malts, light sourishness, grainy main character with an almost sugary, ’industrial’ sweetness and wry alcoholic finish as is so often the case in this bleak style. Not the worst in its style, though.

Pure lager color, all gold and transparent with tiny head. The aroma is malt and lager too. The taste is classic lager with some hints of Belgian base. One can also feel the 10% alcohol! A good lager, maybe too much alcohol to drink it as summer refreshment but still ok.

33cl bottle from ’t Drankenhuys. Clear golden with medium white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Sweet some acidic bitter tones. Wheat, grain and booze. A very flat and boozy brew.
