Big bottle purchased at Bierkoning, Amsterdam, then consumed in the hotel. This was basically, expensive malt liquor. Shared with a friend, we both had about 2 ounces, poured the bottle down the drain and moved on to the better beers.

(Bottle, thanks omhper and oh6gdx) Pours clear amber. Very sweet, light fruity aroma with syrupy malt and notes of hops. Undertones of sugar, candy banana, pears and maybe a touch of almond paste. Sweet malty, alcohol-ish flavour with a light fruitiness and an acetone like bitterness. A bit glue-ish with notes of pears. Dry alcohol ending. Syrupy texture. Lingering alcohol numbness. Medium body.

Fancylooking bottle (thanks?!? for sharing goes to omhper!). "The original wifebeater beer". Golden colour, small head. Aroma is glue, alcohol, paper and very unpleasant. Flavour is glue, sweet malts, alcohol. Very malt liquorish...

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2007 Bottled at Akkurat. Clear golden, brief airy head. Aroma of strawberry esters, glue and thinner. Extremely sweet with clean mouthfeel. Saccharine and syrup tries to keep the onslaught of alcohol back, but first some estery higher alcohols seep through and then in the finish the floodgates bursts open to the cheap grappa-like burning alcohol. Belgian malt liquor?

auderale (605) - Minot, Alabama, USA - MAR 8, 2007
Draft: Golden colored pour with a gargantuan head. Virtually no aroma whatsoever with a little soapy finish to this. May have to do a re rate on this another time.

A Mes rate: Draught at the Kulminator. Clearly a damn sight better from Dirk’s superbly kept Kulminator taps than out of a can. Appearance is misleading; chunky head and heavy lace give it away a little but otherwise it looks like a darkish blonde beer. Nutty and slightly off smelling. Nicely thick and full bodied. Rather perfumey but not as much alcohol is apparent as I would have expected. That said it gives you a great warmth on the way down.
