Bottle @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Dark red / brown colored beer. Fair smell. Short, dry finish. Even though it’s 8.4%ABV the beer misses body, it’s weak.

Tasted from can @ oct. 2010. Clear near amber color, with a beigered head. Aroma: sweet, alcohol, cramel. Medium body. Taste sweet, nuts, caramel, artificiel, alcoholic touch.

Can @ AD Delhaize, Brussels.
Nice, clear amber with a small, frothy, bubbly, white head. Aroma has mild caramel, viniousness, some red fruits. Medium to low carbonation, fair light mouthfeel. Flavour has mild sugary caramel, but really nothing more. Yeah! I want more!

Can. [thank you, Yespr]
Pours a clear, lightly red, brown. A fizzy off white head on top. Lacing in large blotches on my glass. Aroma is very sweet, some caramel, a little toffee and lots of alcohol. Light carbonation - making it rather oily. Quite dry flavour, very sweet, notes of strawberry, but very overwhelming alcoholic in the end.

Naja...10/7/8/8/5/7

draft@Highlander: clear, light amber colour with a red hue to it, tastes of medicinal alcohol, the cheapest of cheap whiskey plus lots of sweetness from caramel, sugar, nuts, rotting berries, wet moss, this is how I imagine what the slightly better moonshine taste like or perfume, oily texture, very bad overall
Earlier Rating: 3/15/2011 Total Score: 0.9
2004 Vintage@Kulminator, consumed in Feb. 2011: ouch, this clearly shouldn’t have been aged, I assume no one has simple ever ordered this before, looks kind of light, watery orange, hints of purple if you hold it up to the light, according to the bottle it should have a purple hue, tiny white head, smells like chlorine, swimming pool water basically, appallingly enough it also tastes like swimming pool water, chlorine, watery, with hint of caramel, malt & sugar at the very end, disturbing & weird, this really shouldn’t have been aged, I cannot imagine that this is how it was ever supposed to taste, very watery, seriously everything about this beer screams swimming pool water

Actually drinkable. I was not expecting too much from this beer, but it turned out alright-ish.

Bottle. Dull brown with red and a thin head. Aromas are caramel with red berries and earthy hops. Very peppery alcohol. Flavours are sweet grain with sugar and caramel. Fruity with alcohol on the finish. Average.

Pours a light, light red. Weird for something that bills itself as a Red. And plasters tartan all over its can. Fast fading head, with no lacing. Slightly malty. Slightly. Maybe I smell hops? Maybe. If I didn’t try hard to smell something I wouldn’t have smelled anything. Little malty up front. Floral hops out back. Might not even be hops. They may have actually thrown flowers in here. Little sweetness that sticks around on your lips for a while. Like after eating a lollipop. Sticky and thin. I could drink maybe one of these at a sitting. Maybe, but I’m having a tough time choking this 500ml can down right now.

(hiver 2006-07)

Ah, nothing better than a sleazy can of Gordon’s on a saturday night! Indeed, I have not been too impressed with the other high-alcohol version of this Gordon’s brew. This one is, in theory, "softer" at only 8.4% alcohol. Thus, we have a beer that pours with a flat amber body and huge head. The aroma is cherries and barley, a bit smooth, a bit not. Taste is a soft mix of amber ales and lagers.... cherry hints and some malts in the midst of an extremely watery finish. This is better than the other Gordon beers, but still nothing to cry home about.
