Pours a deep dark gold color. Aromas of fruit, malt, a touch of hops, and apple. Flavor big strong malt, hops, and a touch of menthol like quality. Strong malt aftertaste.

Can - 500ml. Limpid amber body with average carbonation and a thin off-white foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with spicy hints. Taste carries some fruity notes. It is rather bland and leaves a bad alcohol aftertaste.

Ok ohne Begeisterungseffekt.

Can, consumed at Nic and Anna’s leaving party, Merton, Oxon, Saturday 12th July 2014 Drinking this straight from the can at about 2-3am when if truth be told I didn’t need anymore, so no idea on colour. Sweet malty with a fair bit of toffee and caramel. The can gives it a very industrial look which fits rather well. A6 A3 T5 P3 Ov10 2.7

Aroma of hops, caramel malts and fruits (abrikot). Clear, dark red-brown coloured with a lasting, off-white-brown head. Taste is sweet, fruity (abrikot), malty. Alcohol present, still quite thin and dry. For a gordon not really bad.
Earlier Rating: 7/20/2004 Total Score: 1.5
Canned. Aroma is alcoholic, apples (yes apples..). Amber coloured beer with firm head. Taste is malty and alcoholic. Sweet, bitter amd alcohol. Metallic and sharp palate. This beer is no good... very much no good. Okay it’s better than it’s brother the gold version...

sayravai (4667) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 26, 2005
(Canned, 8.4% ABV, BBE 02/2006) Clear, darkish red-amber color with a small, big-bubbled and mostly fading head. Some toffeeish caramel in the aroma when pouring, but it disappears quickly into mild metallicity and faint toffee and berry hints. Caramely-malty, slightly sweet and roasty, very straightforward flavor. Has some wineous feel, and alcohol is quite clearly present in the finish. Barely medium-bodied - not quite enough for the ABV. It’s actually quite hard to believe that this would be top-fermented. It feels like some Estonian strong, dark lagers.

Sten (617) - Westerlo, BELGIUM - MAY 14, 2006
Reddish appearance with a small white head. The aroma is sweet and alcoholic. The flavour is sweet, alcoholic and a bit fruity. A very boring beer. (Bottle 33cl 6.6 alcohol % in my version)
