Red with white head, gently bitter malty aroma, but sweety taste, a little carbonation, hints of coffee, vanilla and jelly on palate, sweet aftertaste

Una amber a bassa fermentazione veramente strong. di colore ambrato carico, schiuma fine e persistente, dai sentori molto caramellati, luppoli mediocri, buona persistenza

Drink cold (8°C) Eye: pours an reddish-brown color with a medium and quickly dissipating white head and high carbonation. Nose: not much other than hops Mouth: sparkly, grapes, prune tart and red berries. Palate: red berries again, black currant even and hops. Overall: very fruity and refreshing beer. You won’t feel the high percentage of alcohol.

500mL can and head just fits nicely into my Duvel glass. Deep golden honey clear with medium-small light tan head and light lacing. This beer has the pepperiest aroma of any beer I’ve ever tried. The rest is faint candy malt and some sweetish alcohol. Smooth medium strength body. Medium whiskey and bitter flavours balanced by sufficient caramel flavoured malt to retain interest. The alcohol is definitely there warming the cockles but it’s not overpowering for an 8.8%ABV brew. Overall somewhat rawer than the Silver and maybe not as smooth or as luscious as the more festive Highland, but nevertheless a very drinable brew.

Clear redbrown color, initially thick rocky head. Aroma is sweet malty, bit chocolate like, caramel and fruity. Sweet caramel taste. Sticky palate.

Bottled. Red/Brown colour. Medium, lacey head. Aroma is a bit hoppy with a pretty heavy frutiness, mostly apricot and berries and something that reminds me of Belgian wits. Quite sweet, fruity taste. Interesting, but nothing to be excited about. Oh, and mine was 6.6% ABV, too.

On tap at The Highlander, Antwerp. Red beer with lasting beige creamy head. Creamy sweet red fruit malt aroma. Bit too much sweet sugar candy. Finish has some dry malt, but too sweet and overall a bit daft.

Can: Good looking ale, a reddish orange with an initially decent head. I’d like this alot more if the nose and taste were stronger. It has an aroma of caramel with a touch of butterscotch and sweet cherries(?). It tastes fruity with a sweet caramel base, some butterscotch, and a hint of wood. The sturdy ABV is well hidden until after the swallow. Drinkable and okay, but not at all what I’d expected from the style.

Bottled(330ml). -Nice reddish/amber coloured, huge white head, odd sweet nose. The aroma is too sweet malty and faint fruity with some odd oily and perfumy rose notes. Drinkable but a way too sweet.

Botella. Red amber colour. Sweet caramellic and malty aroma, same for the flavour with a mild bitterness.
