COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gordon Scotch Ale was born in the limpid highlands among isolated lochs and haunting Scottish castles. This brown beer, reminiscent of a dark ruby, is full of contrast - both strong and smooth. Its creamy head is delectation for the palate. This unique nectar can also be discovered under the name of Douglas Scotch Ale. Has been renamed ’Finest Scotch’ in 2006.
Note: ABV at some point from 8.6% to 8%.

Redish amber color with white foam head. Quite carbonated. Smells sweet caramel with some fruit. Taste is sweet caramel and lots of alcohol. Some bitterness, not much. (Velp, 201205)

Bottle 330 ml. Pours dark brown with copper reflect. Nice medium white-beige head. Nice lacing. Aroma is overwhelmingly caramel. Taste is more complex though with malts and some vanilla. Taste is therefore sweet, but well balanced. Nice creamy texture. Refreshing. A good Scotch Ale, right on style. Bouteille 330 ml. Brun foncé, reflets cuivrés. Beau collet blanc-beige. Beau lacing.

Test vom 25.6.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,9,9,10,12,10 - 9,80

Bottle 330 ml. Pours dark brown with a medium brown head. Aroma is malty, peated, roasted and sugary. Taste is sweet, heavy malt, peated, roasted and caramel. Some bitterness. Dry finish. Alcohol (or carbonation) tickle the tongue. A good scotch ale.

Dark rich woody mahogany color with a thick white lacy lasting head. Smell of alcohol, malt, roasted caramel, brown sugar, whiskey (peat?). Sticky slightly prickly body. Smooth. Taste of ripe fruit, berries, caramel, malt, burnt. Dry finish. For 8% its very drinkable. its very good but has this lingering alcohol peat element.
