COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gordon Scotch Ale was born in the limpid highlands among isolated lochs and haunting Scottish castles. This brown beer, reminiscent of a dark ruby, is full of contrast - both strong and smooth. Its creamy head is delectation for the palate. This unique nectar can also be discovered under the name of Douglas Scotch Ale. Has been renamed ’Finest Scotch’ in 2006.
Note: ABV at some point from 8.6% to 8%.

A clear red-brown body with a well enduring light brown head. Nose is mild with some roasty malt notes. Taste is dweet and malty with a mildly dry finish. Carbonation is soft and the palate is rich and satisfying. Nice beer with a rich malty character and well hidden alcohol.

330ml bottle. Aroma is very reluctant, malty dark berries. Appearance is clear dark amber, almost brown with a compelling brown-ish head. Wonderful. Taste is sweet, light sour and it has some bitterness in the end. A fleeting but light dry and pleasant mouth feel. Some carbonation. Palmary Scotch Ale. Lovely.

Mooie roodbruine kleur. Weinig lichtbruin schuim. Fruitig caramelaroma. Sterke moutige smaak.

Bottle at home. Pours brown with a off-white head. Aroma of (roasted) malts and caramel. Sweet taste of malts, caramel, dark fruits, and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Had dit soort bier bitterder verwacht, maar is aardig zoet. Proef wel iets teveel alcohol.

Bottle, 33cL. 8% ABV. Home. A dark brown clear beer with a medium white head. Medium lasting. Good lacing. Aroma of caramel, herbs, and acid note. First, taste is bitter then light sour-heavy sweet. A bit artificial for me. Medium body. Oily thin body. SWEET-sour finish. Overall, I cannot hide my frustration. I don’t understand why they added so much sugar. Sourness is OK !
