A lager not very special...a pils like other, a bit stronger and with a light taste at the end

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
16/VI/13 - 33cl bottle from Carrefour Planet (Oostakker) @ Akke’s place - BB: 25/VII/13 (2013-565)
Clear orange beer, small irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sugary, floral, some honey, bit chemical and smelly. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: little bitter, metallic, some grains, sweet and sugary. Aftertaste: grains, cow fodder, sugary, bit metallic, some banana. Gordon Five did not convince my most demanding palate.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels. Pours a clear light amber body with a small white head and massive, alien-looking floaties...is that yeast? Is it moss? Is it the remains of some extra-terresial life form, which the brewers tried to preserve in beer? Damn if I know, but this shit is gross as hell. :-P Aroma is strange sweet caramel and chewing gum notes with hints of wet grass. Taste is cellar must, wet grass, watery sweet caramel. Weird, and/or possibly infected or too old (couldn’t find a best before date). Drain pour, of course.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle from their webshop. Pours clear dark golden with a tiny, white film head. Aroma is sweet, brewing cereal, crystal malts, light grainy. Medium carbonation, very thin and watery. Flavour is sweet, metallic, some maize, sugar. Just bad.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts. Sweet malty, light bitter flavour. Medium body, malty finish.
Gordon’s lager. Not bad. Not great either, but still quite decent.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
33cl bottle @ home. Clear golden color, small off-white head that diminishes almost instantly. Smell malts, grains, lightly sweet. Taste sweetish malts, lightly sweet, slightly butter. Low carbonation, low body.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
This is a copy of my rating of Gordon Finest Platinum. For it tastes exactly the same. Only difference is that this beer isn’t "strong", therefore misses the bite that the 12% beer has and therefore is even worse!
Clear orange, fast fading white head. Aroma is sweet and artificial, and so is the taste. It’s NOT strong, alcoholic, sweet. Like most cheap strong beers, it’s pretty bad, but drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Virtually no head over clear metallic copper-orange beer. Dull doughy, even oxydized, wholemeal bread, bit of honey, sweetish. Not that sweet in the mouth; very faint point of acidity, grainy character. Something like bread soaked in buttermilk. Spritzy feel, if not visually so. Bit sticky MF, watery too. Rather dull, if easy-drinking.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Dark golden colour. Malty, biscuity aroma. Flavour is a bit stale, the curse of transparent green bottles. Otherwise quite a lot of malt sweetness.
