Poured into a thistle glass, looked very good. Strong Christmas pud aroma. Taste is of winter spice, brandy and dried fuit. A pourable christmas pudding which I drank on a warm summer day in May. Cheers Mike for this one

33cl bottle. Poured dark brown with a frothy white head. Aroma has melted butter, caramel and spices. Flavor has anise, sweet caramel and xmas spices. Sweet, alcohol well hidden. Xmas flavor, but the aroma was not very tempting.

Kosmokrator (454) - ITALY - MAR 29, 2012

Pours a nice dark brown glass with big white foam head. Wonderfull beer with a nice sweet touch. Aroma of chocolate, toffee, yeast and a bit of coffee. All very well balanced and with an enorm intensity. Great mouthfeel too!

Bottle 33cl. Smoky aroma with a touch of coffee and some sweetness. Darkred, not a sticky head. Sweet smoked taste, sticky feeling, some bitterness of chocolate or coffee in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Dark reddy brown with an off-white head. Sweet and fruity. Lightly spiced and the alcohol takes prominence. Pretty nice.

Draught, tent, The Horseshoes Winter Ale Festival, Nuneaton. To be honest the very fact I’m drinking a draught 8.8% Belgian in Nuneaton I’ve never rated is giving me something of a thrill. Slim-lidded ruby with a cream foam clumping like a petra dish. Pronounced marzipan and Tunes aroma. Cherry Tunes taste, fizzed to fuck. There’s a lick of tupperware and biscuit to finish. Medicinal, elegant and very wintery. Now I know why all the old farts in Belgium drink it for elevensies.
