Pours a clear brown with a thin offwhite head that leaves insane lacing. Aroma is of sweet caramel, toffee and the likes. Taste is sweet but not coma-inducing sweet, still really sweet though. Missing a little bitterness in there I think. Flavors of candies, maple syrup. Carbonation is light and body is full. Mouthfeel is kinda thick. Not bad at all, just missing a little complexity IMO.

(expiry 2014) pours unclear light brown, red tint, with a decent light beige head, some retention and lacing. toasted caramel and caramelized nuts, toffee sweetness, woodsy, stale hops, dash of dirt, spices, bit of bubblegum, grass, pepper. average carbonation, medium body - oily, some sweetness, sweet and grassy-herbal-peppery slightly harsh finish. not my cup of tea but not badly crafted either. DP.

Definitely a must taste; rich in flavour (and somewhat in alcohol), delicate and smooth to the finish. A lovely head, excellent palate and colour. Now brewed in Belgium in seems, probably at Steenhuffel. Available in my local Brussels pub!

A clear brown color with a off-white head. Aroma is very sweet with smoked and dark fruits notes hints of caramel and roasted malt,. Flavor is pretty much the same. Medium body and carbonation. Good one!

Brune rougeâtre, effervescence moyenne, mousse tombe vite. Malts caramel grillés, fruits foncés, chocolat, un rien métallique, toute petite amertume sur la fin. Un peu trop sucrée...

33 cl bb 07 11 2014. Magnificent pour of clear chestnut with a lasting half inch of cream and beautiful lacing. Nose of spicy apple, orange toffee, toasted nut, and dark bread. Front tastes of spicy caramel apple, raisins, dark cherry and grilled corn on the cob. Finish has chocolate, dates, orange, dark roasted grain and a touch of dry wood. Long finish has some cured tobacco. Medium-heavy body is sweet and has a smooth carbonation with just a small warmth from the mostly hidden abv. Merry Xmas indeed.

Deep dark brown colour with low creamy head and smooth body. Nose of big malt. Taste of roasted rich malt, nuts, torf, whiskey, strong alcohol, woods, vanilla and smoke. Not that easy to drink during summer time but imaging that it would be snowing outside didn’t make the beer any better.

A tough one. Loads of syrup, sugar, sweetness, malt and some hops. Big carbo, alc in the dominance. Definitely the right beer for a cold winter night. But I had that one in July. My fault maybe. But for that moment this beer was just in the near of being awful.
