Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais. Deep clear deep ruby and brown beer with thin white head. Some strong malty aroma. Some newspaper. In mouth some toastyness. Bit of fruit. It’s ok. Easy drinking. Just got a bit of paper to it. Nah.

Little bit of aroma only, bit of perfume/soapy. Middle of the road taste, balanced but also clearly strong in alcohol. Bitterish aftertaste, tangy.

Dark toffee colored, ruby tinted pour. Big puffy off-white head. Slow to fall and plenty of lacing when it decides to do so. Malty vanilla aroma with some caramel. A very slight acetic note. Taste is spot on with the aroma minus the vinegar. Very smooth sweet finish. Awesome beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Some of my ratings still disappear. This was from 2005 so I hope I remember correct: it was strong and with the Martin’s toouch but with nice foam and body.

Dark red brown colour. Sweet and strong, alcohol is bit too noticeable. Anyway enjoyable and very nice for a cold winter night.

donker bruinrood van kleur met schuimige kraag.
aroma nauwelijks aanwezig, heb althans niets interessants kunnen herkennen.
smaak: volmoutig, bitter, drop, geroosterd mout, bitter, zoet, caramel, toffee en noot likeur.
over het algemeen niet bijzonder

330ml bottle. Caramel, liquorice and liquor aromas. Pours copper, dark, quite clear, with a vanishing tan head, some lacework. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is carmael, liquor, sweet, alcohol noticed, not very well balanced. Not my fav xmas beer, but enjoyable anyway.
