Nose is dust, chestnut, sugar, a little burnt caramel, hazelnut. Taste is toffee, caramel, sugar, peppermint clove spices butter / chocolate in the finish. Mouthfeel is slick It’s a surprisingly well spiced beer, the flaw is the underlying beer is a little bland and overly dry relative to the spices. As others have noted the label is beautiful.

1/3/05. 330ml. Belgianshop. Beer bottle brown with minimal brown head. Malty sweet aroma. Nice sweet upfront with some alcohol harshness at the end. Not as good as bush noel.

Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is zoet en kruidig, caramel, chokolade, noten. Blijft lang hangen. Uitstekend bier, smaakt ook in de zomer.

Bottle. Dark colour. Aroma of honey, hops, dark fruits and alcohol. Sweet caramel flavour, more light bitterish finish.

Ruby red colour, good, creamy and lasting head. Delicate aroma with just some hints of caramel and malts. The flavour is sweet, with good traces of burnt sugar, chocolate, liquorice and cherry. The sweetness is well balanced by the bitter aftertaste. Alcohol is well hidden.

Had this one thanks to Oldrtybastrd. This pours a wonderful dark brown with the spice coming frm the glass. This tastes are from sweet to bitter, but the right amount at the right time. Good Christmas beer.
