Dark cherry colour, transparente but dense. Aromas to yeast (bread) and milk chocolate. Mouthfeel to toffee, very creamy and bodied, but not heavy. Very easy to drink and tasty. Great.

Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is zoet en kruidig, caramel, chokolade, noten. Blijft lang hangen. Uitstekend bier, smaakt ook in de zomer.

A boozy sweet brune with atypical chocolate notes. Also present are autumn fruits as rich as Xmas pudding. The finish is quite spicy with alcohol. Happy Xmas - even in June.

It has a superb dark brown colour with a very nice head. It has a very (almost too) deep aroma of caramel, cream, butter and mocha. The flavour lacks of specificity and is a little bit flat. The finish is pleasant with a nice bitterness. A good beer but unbalanced between aroma and flavour.

diabel (1607) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - JUN 3, 2003
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2008 Bottled Deep black body. Rocky, lightly brown head. Nose of malts: coffee, straw, molasses, ... with some liquor. Malty flavour (moderately bitter, moderately sweet) of coffee and fruits (raspberry, ...). Quite complex flavour. Well balanced, interesting but not extravagant.

Deep brown with big, creamy and long-lasting head. Sweet caramel, oranges, nuts and leather in aroma. Spices, chocolate, dark malt, oranges in flavour with well blanced alcohol flavour. Long warming and spicy finish with hints of syrup and chocolate. Nice x-mas beer!

Very nice christmassy nose of cinnamon and spice. Looks great in the glass - dark honey treacle with a lasting creamy head. Taste of christmas pudding with brandy sauce and other good stuff. The alcohol makes itself known just a touch on the finish in a good way. Very nice indeed.

A striking looking brew after the pour, itís a reddish-brown with a tall fizzy tan head. Strangley, the head transforms into a creamy near-film in short order, but manages to lace the glass through the entirety of the drink. The aroma is a rich, sweet bready malt with dark, dried fruits and clues of the alcohol underneath. Itís thick, rich, and hot in the mouth. The flavor continues the sweet malt along with the fruits, a hint of smoke, and the alcohol making itself most obviously known. The finish is sweet and sticky, warm with alcohol, and a trace of earthy hop bitterness. This is the product of a masterful brewing effort, which is much appreciated.
