2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pale gold. Solid hop aroma, grain, some fresh-cut grass and a rain water underbelly. Pop-like palate is quite enjoyable and refreshing, especially given today’s warm summer-like weather. Good bitterness gets watery at uncomfortable moments, and recedes to a stale grain finish. A good patio brew.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
It’s yellow with just a bit of head, nothing special in its looks. Smells like dirty socks mixed with coriander, a dull aroma and not tinny or alcoholic, but still not appealing. Tastes of bread and cardboard with a dry finish. Not quite interesting.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Had this at a Nepalees restaurant in Leuven, Belgium.
Aroma doesn’t have much to it and not very pretty to look at.
Taste is rather vile to be honoust, I’ve had few beers worse than this.
Tastes a bit moldy, like overdate bread.
Not a good beer.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
650 mL bottle in Kathmandu, Nepal. This is by far the beer of choice when in Nepal. It is not that different from Nepal Ice or Everest, but it is the better of the three. Pours a clear gold with lots of carbonation and a short-lived, white head that leaves some very faint lacing. Aroma is tonic water, lemongrass, sweet corn, and cereal. Taste is likewise but has a faint cherry juice component that perhaps I’m just imagining. Sweet finish. Not so bad but I can’t wait to get back to real beer.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled in Kathmandu. Golden coloured. Clear. Dense off white head. Grassy and grainy aroma. Is light fruity and herbal in the flavour. A bit sweet. Thin bodied. Is light bitter and somewhat sweet in the end.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Courtesy of Nuffield. Yellow color with no head. Grainy aroma. Tastes of sweet corn and very light malt. A bit floral for the finish.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
More European-style than the African lagers I poured the same night. Pale lager with some offensive sweetness, chemical adjuncts. I wouldn’t recommend it, even among bad international lagers, though it isn’t bottom barrel either.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light malt flavor and aroma, but a little hop aroma. Gold color. Drinkable enough, but it could have more flavor. I don’t think of Nepal as a place where these flavorless lagers are desirable.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Light golden pour with a small head. Sweet aroma of cornmeal. Some carbonation. Corn is the main flavor here but there is something behind it, maybe unripe apples.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sampled from 330 ml aluminum can that was supplied by Nuffield. Pours a clear golden blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of light corn and barn hay, some grassy hops and touch of wheat. Taste is light bodied, light carbonation with flavors of light corn, a touch of rice, pear and grassy hops. Finish is watery with some light fruit and corn aftertaste.
