1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pale gold colour. Bland bready aroma with light plastic. Watery, with a slight hoppy crispness and more bland bread. Sweetish, inoffensive and that’s the best I can say about it. Thanks, Todd!

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
650 mL bottle in Kathmandu, Nepal. This is by far the beer of choice when in Nepal. It is not that different from Nepal Ice or Everest, but it is the better of the three. Pours a clear gold with lots of carbonation and a short-lived, white head that leaves some very faint lacing. Aroma is tonic water, lemongrass, sweet corn, and cereal. Taste is likewise but has a faint cherry juice component that perhaps I’m just imagining. Sweet finish. Not so bad but I can’t wait to get back to real beer.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sampled from 330 ml aluminum can that was supplied by Nuffield. Pours a clear golden blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of light corn and barn hay, some grassy hops and touch of wheat. Taste is light bodied, light carbonation with flavors of light corn, a touch of rice, pear and grassy hops. Finish is watery with some light fruit and corn aftertaste.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle courtesy of (zdk or Paul??) at the Daduary 2013 tasting. Barely remember this, but it wasn’t as awful as the label leads you to believe. Light lagery notes, slightly grainy, malty, grassy, spice and a touch of lemongrass.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Country #112. Bought at exotic supermarket in Leuven, then came across it a few hours later in Antwerpen. Golden lager body with medium, puffy head. Nose is skunky, malty, watery. Taste is hoppy, of water, cardboard, lactose. Quite a strange combination of flavours. Happy to try it. Probably very good in the mountains after a long day’s trek.

Corn, rubber and grain in the flavour as well with mild finishing bitterness. Light body with somewhat low carbonation. Bottle (Best Before 11/11/06) sampled with BeerPrince, CapFlu and Oakes.

(22oz bottle) Sampled at at a gathering at TiggMTL’s place in Vancouver on June 30, 2007. Very corny nose with a cracker undertone. Smooth and milky - not like I like my Pale Lagers.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light malt flavor and aroma, but a little hop aroma. Gold color. Drinkable enough, but it could have more flavor. I don’t think of Nepal as a place where these flavorless lagers are desirable.
