Many thanks for this bottle to McTapps. Pours a hazy yellow on tap with dissipating white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma is wheat and malty.

Bottle (courtesy of McTapps). Pours hazy straw colored with a huge frothy white head. Aroma is cloves, wheat, orange. Taste is light sweet light bitter, lacking the tartness. Light body.As a gose it’s out of bounds, as a hefe it’s alright.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2014 Vom Faß im Brauhaus Goslar, 18.4.2014. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Looks quite promising and nice out of the bottle into the glass: Cloudy yellow colour with steady low head and medium body. When smelling it I thought it may be that awful due to my little cold (but it wasn’t!): Wheaty, dusty, strawy. But the taste - oh, boy. Well, actually, when I would have expected a Hefeweizen, THEN I would have liked it - but under the aspect that it is supposed to be a Gose, it is just not right: Yeast, wheat, bread and citrus. Dull and strawy finish. Not nice at all.

On Tap im Brauhaus Goslar! Gutes Bier!

Pour at home thanks to pussypete. Aroma is a little smokey and salty. Flavor is mild citrus and salt. Decent beer, unusual to me though

Bottle @ Greg’s palace, courtesy of readbaron. Another German wale. Thanks! Pours a hazy light yellow appearance with a white head. Strangely a bit smoky, tangy lemon, pineapple, salt water aroma. Tangy herbal grainy, grassy, a bit salty, lemon flavor that finishes a bit tart and lightly sweet. Blah.

33cl Bottle from Lost Property. Clear pale golden colour, fluffy white head. Aroma of faint bready malts, hint of coreander, a bit sweet. Flavour is light-sweet, malty, light bready, hint of coreander, very light bitter finish. When poured with the yeast there’s more coreander and just a tiny hint of salt. Tastes like a Helles or Kölsch, like Bartlebier said. Light-bodied.

Draught @ Goslarer Brauhaus, Jul2013. Anticipation was high to sample a dying, Reinheitsgebot-defying German style right at the source...(cf. Place review Butterhanne). Light pour, translucent straw yellow; salty nose with some wheat levity; round and smooth thin mouthfeel. Had a brief talk with the brewer: there is no lactic acid infused as in the Leipziger Gose from Bayrischer Bahnhof, which seems historically accurate as the Goslaer Gose was only infected on its long, carriage-drawn export way from Goslar to Dessau... Hints of koriander, fainter than in a Belgian wit. Both fairly malt and hop aromatic rounding off a top-fermenting brew which could easily be an homeopathically infected Päffgen Kölsch still in search of its audience.
Note: rate is higher because of more pronounced koriander and spice aromas in the bottled version.
