Bottle at a Papsø tasting 09-Feb-2009 - Thanks to one of the guys. Clear yellow - white head. Grainy, straw, hay, sweetness, sharpness, fruity, corn, light hoppy. Better than expected.

Very strong caramel flavor that turned to a coffee flavor quickly. Left with a long bitter after taste.

500 ml bottle. Golden colour. Crystal claear. Very tall white coarse head that clings to the glass. Delicate papery noble hop aroma with some metallic notes. Grassy. Crisp maltiness. Light-bodied, but still with quite a bit of malt flavour. Light lingering floral hop bitterness through to the finish. Very nice.

straw-blonde colour ... not very firm head (the foam is a bit ’soapy’) .... taste is a bit soury .... the problem with Austrian beers will be similar to the problem with Swiss beers I guess: the water is too hard ... this usually gives a light bodied beer with a soury note ... ok as a thirst quencher in summer, but not a beer to enjoy

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Clear golden with a dense white head. Aroma of hops and a little sulphur. Medium body with some maltiness and a light metallic edge. Subdued bitterness. But overall fairly decent. 090209

50 cL bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Mild grassy and vague citrus fruity hops aroma. Flavour is mild citric and hoppy flavoured. Clean and crisp, mild bitter finish.

Pours golden-yellow with fluffy white head. Aroma of malts, fresh bread, dry hay and hops. Flavor is pretty much like the aroma with added sweetness. Palate feel is lean and a bit watery flat. Finishes with a nice bitter aftertaste.

Bottle (50 cl) from ICA Focus, Göteborg, Sweden. Clear colden with a large fluffy white head. Fresh bready and grainy malt aroma with some faint grassy hops. Ok mouthfeel, a bit sweet with some bitterrness. A well-made 3.5 % lager.
