UPDATED: JUN 23, 2007 Bottle. I like Gosser, I think it’s a fine example of a Helles and it’s fine out of the bottle. Sweet and malty with a enough subtle bitterness that it still tastes like beer. This is definitely on my regular buy list.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2009 I don’t really understand why the rating is so low for this one. It’s not so bad, geez. I guess they can’t make the claim it’s "Austria’s Finest Beer", but it’s better than the alternative slogan, "Hey, at least it’s not skunky..." This is actually a very fine beer. Classic soft Helles feel to it with just the right amount of subtle malty goodness defining the flavour throughout. Nicely crisp when fresh and oh-so refreshing! At the price this is a very good product.

This is a great summertime session brew... it has an overall creamy, bread, flowery flavor and balanced bitterness. This beer to me is like eating a delicious fresh buttered roll. Great for warm weather when heavier styles just don’t work.

Not too bad. Reminded me in many ways of other light European lagers. Sort of skunky. Poured a beautiful thick white head, aroma was definately malty. Very crisp finish. Good beer.
