2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Out of a bottle at Concordia Ale House. Doesn’t pour much of a head, but is a nice golden color, pale, but not to pale. Pretty, actually. Aroma is sweet malt. Very little hops, just enough to cut the sweetness and keep it in check. Flavor is straight-forward. Clean. That’s it. No hop presence. Not sweet. Not bitter. No off flavors, I’m sure they would shine through in this beer. Something tells me this beer would be excellent in the summer. I could easily keep a case of this in my fridge for the simple purpose of quenching my thirst after mowing the lawn. However, since it’s cold, I fell a little under-inspired right now. Don’t get me wrong, it taste great. I’m just a little cold, and was wanting a beer to cuddle and be comforatble with. Instead I was romanced by a stranger in a shiney green bottle. I’d definitely drink this again, but not tonight.

Can, 0.5l. Clear golden pour with small and short lasting white head. Smell is sweet and malty, a touch of hops, a bit floral.
Light to medium body with regular carbonation and texture. Taste and aroma typical for the style. Bittersweet combination of malts, yeast, grain, hay and herbs. Fain licorice in the mouthfeel. Regular finish.
Overall, decent. Crisp and refreshing summer drink.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bright straw color with moderate activity. Slightly foamy white 2 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with poor legs.
Faint aromas of sweet grains and skunk. Flavors sweet malts, lime, caramel/honey, slightly skunky with some noble hops. A little bready, grassy, and syrupy with a high level of sugar while not too adjunct.
Smooth light body with decent carbonation. Faint and short finish, ending with a clean sweet grainy and sharp grassy noble spices.
Overall an average craft offering decent flavors and good freshness. Still a little faint and poor physically.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml can from Real Canadian Liquorstore, served in a goblet. Pours a straw-golden color with light, fine carbonation and a fine, milky head that leaves just a few lace spots as it vanishes. Nose holds fine, light bready grain and lemony, herbal hops with small touches of fresh grass; flavor is much the same - faint toastiness and a grazing of bitterness, with lemon, lime, and faint, fresh, green hops. Thin-bodied, lightly slick, fine finish. Another unspectacular but very drinkable and pleasant Eurolager imported from Austria, as can be seen by the many languages on the can. (As an aside, I noticed that a can of Löwenbrau with similar multilingual packaging was noticeably better than a domestic Lö, which looked identical in powder blue and gold, but without the three dozen names for "beer".)
