It’s very reminiscent of a much more palatable Budweiser. Smell is a cheap, and the color is a very pale yellow/orange. Nice and fizzy, which is what I expect from this type of beer. Not bad, to be honest I got exactly what I was expecting. KyotoLefty (1512), Kyoto, Japan
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Light gold with a decent fine head. Skunky, piney hop aroma, with some soft cereal malts. Sweet malt flavor, light hops, fruity but undirected. Ok, but not much happening. Not enough hops. Muggus69 (567), Sydney, Australia

Reasonably clean and crisp pale lager. Hint of hops on the nose, probably better than average for a Euro-style lager. Mirage52 (127), New Market, Maryland, USA

Aroma: Sharp, grassy hops with a slightly metallic edge; very faint Eurpean pale/Pils malt in the bachground. Appearance: Transparent, light straw color; white crown. Flavor: Slightly dry, yet adequately flavorful; light, tangy malts paired with a crisp, grassy, leafy, and spicy hop bitterness; not quite enough bite and bitterness for my preference, but adequate (maybe moreso) for the style. Palate: Medium-light; crisp; low level of carbonation; smoooooth. Overall: This beer brings back some good memories. I spent 3 months in Austria during college and there was a vending machine in the lobby of the dorm that had Gösser. I didn’t drink a lot of this beer while I was there since I was hitting the Zipfer and Stiegl pretty hard, but it was always available in an emergency and it’s fun to have it again almost 10 years later...
