COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bock beer is generally a very strong beer. Gösser bock beer is of a deep yellow colour, excels with a very complex aroma and a dominant smell of malt. The fresh, fruity taste is complemented by flavours that are reminiscent of gingerbread, spice and dark bread. The finish or final taste is strong and long-lasting. 16.2°

Okay beer, largely defined by its maltiness. Brown color with a decent head. Thin body with a yeasty aftertaste. Tried in Budapest in Dec 2011.

Bottle. Clear golden with OK white head. Grainy malt, egg white and lemony hops show through in aroma and taste. Thin bodied. Peppery finish. Tough to drink too much.

Botte. Deep golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of malt, grain, lemon and pepper. Malt, grain and sour lemon flavour. Not great for the palate and quite astringent. Not very complex and only average.

Tap at Bierklinic, Vienna. Light, golden bock. Slightly darker than average for the style. Quite sweet, with lots of malt and decent hops, and quite strong indeed. Bready, spicy and rich. Clean and full flavored. Slightly darker than average for the style. Some ways it seems similar to a Belgian tripel, but it’s definitely a lager type. Great stuff on tap. Not near as rich and malty when it came in the bottle, but still quite nice.

0,5 l bottle beerr, bought in a Billa near Stiegl Ambulanz, Vienna.
Clear golden beer with a small lacing white head. Tons of malt, liqueric character and some almond in the aroma with a minimal hop and bottom yeast. Sweet malt based body with a liqueric alcohol taste, sourish&fruity yeast, a bit of hop in the aftertaste. The beer could be a nice heller bock-style one, but it has a moderated but unpleasant unmatured character both aroma and flavor.
