ABV. 4.5%. Clear medium brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark bread, roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, roasted, bread notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101211]

Bottled as Gösser Dark Beer. An amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of matl and caramel, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

33 cL bottle, as Dark Beer. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare and a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted and breadish. Roasted malty and caramelish. Sweet and slight bitterness coming through. Lingering dark roasted and dry malty finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Comes as "Gösser Dark Beer". Pours a clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Roast and burned caramel in the nose. Medium body, roasted malt and nuts with a dry and slightly tart finish. 150211

Bottled (from Systembolaget, Mölnvik Gustavsberg). Deep amber, close to copper colour, with a mediumsized off-white to beige head. Aroma is caramel, some quite sugary and ryelike notes along with mild bitterness. Flavour is rye, caramel, some mild toasted notes as well as mild floral notes. OK, but not very inspiring or special.

Draft @ Gösser Bierklinik, Vienna. Pours a dark brown amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel and chocolate flavor. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel finish.

Bottle @ Sothern/Western Denmark Gathering, Ulfborg. Pours clear amber with a small creamy lasting head. Bread, fruit and caramel. Medium bodied. Reasonable.

Bottle, 4.5% in Rome. Weak caramel aroma. Mild bready flavour with a slightly roasted aftertaste and a hint of green apple. Clear dark brown colour. Unstable light brown head. Hint of sourness which does well to balance.
