Poured from a can into a plastic cup on an Austrian Airlines flight. The beer had a clear light gold color with an average-sized foamy white head, average retention, and great lacing and cling. The aroma featured barley, grainy hops, and some lighter floral and malt tones. It had a grainy bitter taste with a touch of straw and earthy tones, and a mild sourness too. The beer was fairly dry with a thinner, lighter feel and lower carbonation.

Can. Slightly stale oxidized aroma and flavour with slightly sourish finish. Otherwise easily drinkable beer without much flavour.

Bought from a food cart in Vienna. 16 oz pour from refrigerated can poured into a handled mug. Golden and totally transparent, great carbonation and a big fizzy white head. Nose is sweet barley and biscuit. Body is medium and a little creamy. Fizzy with a bit of a sharp finish. Taste reflects the nose with more light malts and breadiness. A little odd bitterness of the end that doesn’t quite sit well with me. Otherwise a pleasant and drinkable beer.

Beer easy to find in Austria, with a golden color, clear, and lively, served in a can.

Pours clear pale straw with one finger of fluffy white head, good retention and moderate patchy lacing. (3/5) Nose is grainy pale malt, faint weedy hops. (4/10) Taste is moderate sweet, mild bitter. (4/10) Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, crisp off dry finish. (3/5) Well, it’s better than a North American mass market beer - if only barely. "Österreichs bestes bier"? I sincerely hope not. On the plane from Vienna to Copenhagen 12/3 2015. 33 cl can served on the airplane. Pours clear yellow with substantial white head. Gradually subsiding. Grainy salty aroma. A little sourness as well. Medium carbonation. Taste is not particulary strong. A little malty sweetness and some saltiness and a nice bitterness in the aftertaste. Not a bad beer for an airplanebeer.

Bottle, 0.33l. Pours clear deep golden color with medium frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of grainy malt, grassy hops, yeast and some honey.Taste starts with mild sweet maltiness, hints of caramel, although more grainy and dry. Mouthfeel is crisp, finish is mild bitter. Light to medium body, thin texture and lively carbonation in palate. Can’t compare with German märzens...
