COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2013 Vom Faß at Gösser Bierklinik in Vienna. Golden colour with a white head. Light grain with a nice hoppy aroma. Medium sweetness with a pleasant bitterness. A fresh and nice Märzen.

33 cl can @ 30000 feet over Twer, I guess. BBE 04/2012, rated on 4.9.2011
Aroma is sweet with corn-like malt. Also some grain and hints of cardboard. Flavour is also sweet with corn-like malt. Palate is sticky-ish and watery. Too sweet, too much corn, too low on hops, feels like starch bulk lager and not märzen at all.

5L keg. Found this for 11€, expiry date dec. 2011. Well, was expetng more from a Marzen, and i was disappointed. In fact there’s no difference from a classic lager. Clear yellow body with creamy white head. Bland aroma of weak malts and some vegetables. Light hoppiness, thin body, a bit watery, low carbonation, easy to drink, average.

Can. Slightly metallic aroma, some grains and a bit spicy. Flavor is slightly bitter, somewhat chemical. Quite boring märzen.

500 ml bottle. Yellow color with a white head. Taste and aroma are both grainy. Drinkable. Malt marzen taste is there but not over whelming.

Malzig? Kaum. Hopfig? Kaum. Test vom 2.4.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,7,10,6,10,8 - 7,95

500ml can. Really popular stuff in Austria along with other Maerzens. It is not as malty as German versions.
