COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Okay it is beer but is far too sweet. If this is a "fest"-beer I cannot drink it a whole night. But perhaps I have to learn to drink it.

50 cl can. Fresh and fruity. Pineapple and peaches, then the grapefruit from the hops take over. One of the best canned beers from Austria.

50cl bottle, Vienna. Fairly standard for styles tried in Austria. Crisp, golden, drinkable.

Finding this one was a bit of a surprise. I spotted a couple of open 24packs of 0.33l cans of Gösser, and thought nothing of it, and then it suddenly came to me. I’ve never seen Gösser here in 0.33l cans. I picked up the can, and to my surprise it said "Märzen" on it. The importer info was nowhere to be seen, too...odd.
This poured a small fluffy white head that went away fast, and a pale golden colour. Looks nothing like märzen I’ve seen. Faint smell of cabbage and maybe malt... Relatively full taste with sweet malt, some sour lemon, and some faint alcohol. Faint hoppy aftertaste. Not impressive, but a solid Pils/Märzen/whatever.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pilsener golden with a small, creamy head. Light malty nose. Soft malty sweetness and some discreet hops in the finish. Slight tang of cardboard. 170905

Bottle. Golden with nice head. Grass, hops, crisp, light bodied, little disaapointed. Thanks Papsoe

Randomly served at Salzberg hostel. Delicious... seed taste of some kind in there, hard to figure out what. Also during sound of music. No, not edelweiss seeds.

Terrible aftertaste. A bad choice for a "first beer" of the day. People have been known to change bars to avoid this beer altogether.

Unremarkable but decent beer. Crisp, dry and fairly well hopped. Seen soem marzens that are on that lighter side but this one really doesn’t fit the style for me.

Light herbal hop aroma. Light golden color, frothy head. Mild fresh, light spicy flavor, few sweetness, light malty. Nothing special, but a quite drinkable beer.
