2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Suttree (3766) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 12, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 7, 2008 It looks like a Coke or a Pepsi or an RC or a Big K Discount Cola. My notes indicate that it smells dark. I’m not 100% sure I know what I was talking about there. Flavor has hints of rye and fruit, and a winey finish.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tronraner (2431) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - MAY 21, 2008
Bottle. Pours a deep orange-hued ruby with roamy beige head. The aroma is grainy with some mild caramel and chocolate sweetness and a slight herbal hint. Flavor starts with a short spicy burst, followed by some toast and bark tones. There is then a mellow caramel malt sweetness which dulls into a soft, earthy finish. Not bad.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 larsga (4435) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 17, 2008
Biggish yellowish beige shiny lasting head. Deep red-brown body. Earthy malty licorice aroma manages to smell both sweet and dry with metallic notes. Sweetish salty licorice and malts taste with chocolatey notes with some driness. Soft mild mouthfeel. Dry gingery licorice aftertaste with earthy notes. Very nice. (0.3l draft at Gablerbräu, Salzburg, under the name "Gösser Schwarzbier".)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 KnutAlbert (4386) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 26, 2008
Bottled in Italy.
Malty, but with a dry cereal mouth feel - not much bitterness, but it is not very sweet either. I imagine this would be good with food - or in food. Easy drinking.
