A nice dark lager. A sort of bitter aftertaste but not too strong, good color and aroma.

This is the epitome of dark beer. Smooth malty easy drinking dunkel. With Pork Knuckle it just doesn’t get any better. My all time favourite.

Molasses amber appearance with a thick, frothy head. Rich doppelbock-like malts emanate from the glass. The medium-rich malting bursts with an initially sharp taste, but smooths out and virtually vanishes--a process renewed with each sip.

Another favorite from the homeland and one of the few I could get in the States. It was best on tap, it got a little more bitter in the bottle.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted, mild coffee, dark bread). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation.

It was a good beer. I don’t think it is Austria’s finest like they say. I had a couple better when I was in Ischgal. Still is a very good beer though. I will probably buy more. Hard to find good beer here. I think warsteiner Dunkel is better though.

Not really a lager fan, but this was pretty decent, nice dark color, good flavor, good all-around drinking beer

Dark brown, sweet, and one dimensional. All I taste is caramunich/vienne malt and a sickly sweet finish. Not really enjoyable in any way.

Good colour and aroma but thinnish and the only flavour is of ’dark’ (I can’t find the word), not much malt or hops. Low abv to compound the problem.

A very good dark beer. Not a very strong palate, but very good flavor. I will buy more.
