Dark brown/black color; Medium body; Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, & subtle dark fruit; Flavor of slight roasted sweet malt, caramel, dark fruit, and light hops; Nicely balanced; Overall, solid brew.

On tap at Gösser Gasthaus in Bregenz, Österreich. Poured brown in colour with foamy tan head. Roasted malty aroma with some dark chocolate hints. Nice. Flavour quite similar with perhas even some liquorice flavour as well. Very smooth an well balanced. Pleasant aftertaste.

Bottle from systembolaget courtesy Saxo. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. DArk amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter nice flavor. Some caramelnotes and not too sweet. Average mpoderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Well balanced fine dunkel.

33 cL bottle. Dark brown colour witha small off white head. Aroma and taste of roasted malts, camamel and toffee. Nice dunkel.

03.04.2011. 0,33l Bottle. Systembolaget Strömstad. Labeled Gösser Dark Beer with 4,5 % abv. Dark brown with off-white head. Sweet malt aroma with medium to rich body. Very nice and smooth malt flavours. Moderate bitterness and a little short finish. Litle aftertaste. Good beer.

fl 33cl, 4,5% Dark brown with thick, roasted foam. Aroma with some hops and a bit of raisin and chocolate. Sweet taste, bit malty at first but overall low. Medium palate. Bready, bit roasted after but ends in a bad, salty taste.

12 oz green bottle, the label is in the wrong place. It isn’t skunked luckily. It pours a deep dark brown with hues of red and a big foamy off-white head. As mentioned there is no skunk in the smell, it has a bit of astringent smell to it. It is malty, sugary, maybe some brown sugar, smelling. It has a nice thick mouthfeel but as far as Munich dunkels go this one is weak in flavor. Slightly metallic, sugary dark malts, hint of roastiness, with not much hops. It is too watery flavored. Rather light in flavor, malts are subdued for a dunkel, relatively watery but not offensive.
